Rebel Soccer Camp (Girls/Boys)

Flintridge Prep soccer coach Esteban Chavez leads this two-week camp, developing individual skills through a variety of technical work and small, sided games and activities. Campers sharpen their tactics and game awareness over the course of the camp.

Cesar Hidalgo joins SoCal Academy!

June 5th - SoCal Academy is pleased to announce the hiring of Cesar Hidalgo as the girls 2002 coach. Cesar is the founder of Elite Skills Soccer Training where he has trained athletes for over twenty years. Cesar is currently training several female college players of all divisions. Additionally, Cesar was a two-time Area Coach of the year at Crescenta Valley High School. He was also the head coach at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy for three years. As a player, Cesar was a member of the 1979 Glendale College state championship team.

U11 Girls Win Surf Thanksgiving Challenge!

November 29th - With a 2-0 win over San Diego Surf Academy, the U11 girls locked a championship title in their first appearance at the Surf Thanksgiving Challenge.  The girls showed great focus and tenacity in a hard fought win against a worthy adversary.  With five wins in five competitions, the girls scored a total of fifteen goals while only giving up one. Congratulations, girls!

U15 Girls Win Championship At 2015 NHB Cup!

August 30th - The U15 girls scored 28 goals and allowed 0 in four games at the NHB Cup this weekend.  Playing in the top flight, the SoCal Academy girls won their group games: 11-0 (Chaos Soccer Academy), 6-0 (FC Golden State West), 6-0 (CCV Stars).  The final played out similarly as the SoCal girls defeated Legacy (the top ranked team in Arizona) 5-0.  Next up for the SoCal Academy U15's - Blues Cup Labor Day Weekend in Oceanside.


U11 Girls Victorious At West Coast Futbol Classic!

August 17th - The U11 girls endured some grueling temperatures and tough competition this past weekend to  come home with the championship trophy at the West Coast Futbol Classic.  In group play, the girls defeated West Coast 6-0, Valencia 3-0, and tied LA Galaxy 2-2.  In the semifinals, SoCal defeated Irvine Slammers 6-0 and in the championship game, the girls beat Inland Empire Surf 4-0.

U15's at Pleasanton Rage Showcase

July 19th - The U15 girls had a successful trip to Northern California playing in the top flight of the Pleasanton Rage College Showcase.  The girls opened play on Friday afternoon with a 1-0 win over a feisty Placer United side.  In Saturday's early game, SoCal Academy outlasted Mountain View/Los Altos Tornado ECNL 2-1 in a physical game.  The girls had a dominating performance over San Mateo County Star (4-2) in Saturday afternoon's game.  Sunday morning's game was a matchup of the top two teams in the Super 1 Division of the showcase: SoCal Academy vs. Pleasanton Rage ECNL.  The SoCal squad started slowly and fell behind 3-0 at halftime.  After some adjustments and additional motivation from Coach Chavez, the SoCal Academy girls stormed back with 3 goals to earn the tie, and also the showcase championship based on the most points scored during the weekend (10 point system - SoCal 31, Rage 29).

Playing in their first tournament together, the CCU SoCal Academy U10 girls didn’t concede a goal in group play, with wins over Slammers (Segovia) 3-0, Cypress (1-0), and Arsenal (9-0).  In the semi-finals, SoCal faced the extremely talented LA Galaxy team but their hustle and determination led to a 2-0 victory.  After falling behind 1-0 to CDA Slammers (Gath), the SoCal Academy girls settled down and scored three second-half goals to secure a 3-1 championship game victory.
